Empower

Here at The College of Idaho, faculty, students, staff, alumni and the community work together to empower each other to excel in everything we do. Through Empower, College of Idaho's crowdfunding platform, students, faculty, staff members and coaches can raise money to turn their great ideas into reality. Our tools empower the C of I community to come together and create lasting impact on things you care about. If you see a project you like, help make it happen! Any amount is welcome, and anyone can contribute – you don’t have to be a Yote (though high-five if you are!).

Throughout the fundraising period, funds are collected and added up - you can visit the project page to check in on the progress at any time. You will also receive updates directly from the team for any project that you’ve funded. At the end of the fundraising period, the campaign closes and all the contributions from the community are totaled.

Our staff works closely with each project team to provide strategic crowdfunding management and consulting in communications, design, video production, and fundraising opportunities. We are here to assist and answer questions but campaigns are mainly student, team or faculty run.

College of Idaho FAQ

What do donations support?

What's great about C of I: Empower is that you get to choose the project and the amount you give so you can pick a project you have a passion for and get to see the impact you have on The College of Idaho.

Who can use Empower?

The Boone Funds is currently accepting applications.

Any College of Idaho affiliated current student, student organization, faculty, or staff member is allowed to submit a project application.

Groups seeking to raise funds for varsity sports and academic department associated clubs must complete the Crowdfunding Approval Form, signed by either the academic department chair or Athletic Director. Groups seeking to raise funds for non-varsity sports and non-academic department associated clubs may not be eligible for crowdfunding and should consult with the Vice President of Student Affairs prior to submitting their application.
